The Spark at Sea
Our story begins with a young hospital laboratory technician, Matteo Boldreghini, working in the medical center of a cruise ship. On first-aid duty, Matteo and his team would arrive within a minute of every call, yet sometimes it was too late. Witnessing the fragility of life in those moments sparked an idea: what if there were a way to know immediately, to give people a real chance to act before it’s too late?
A Vision Born in Cantiano
That question became the seed of BM Diagnostics; a mission born from urgency, empathy, and the desire to make a difference. Returning to his native village, Cantiano in Marche, Matteo dreamed of creating something that could improve lives locally while reaching communities across the globe.
Turning Vision into Reality
With the support of the Italian grant from Regione Marche, we built our first manufacturing unit, inaugurated in November 2025; a tangible step turning vision into reality. This foundation allowed BM Diagnostics to scale from a small village to the world stage.
Crossing Oceans, Following Dreams
BM Diagnostics expanded globally through the Conscious Venture Lab in Baltimore and the Global Start-Up Program by the Italian Trade Agency, connecting our innovation to a worldwide network of healthcare and technology leaders. For our founder, Matteo Boldreghini, this journey is deeply personal — like his great-grandfather, who crossed the ocean to pursue the American dream, Matteo carries a vision born in his village of Cantiano, Marche to innovate cardiac care. Today, BM Diagnostics delivers advanced Point-of-Care testing, real-time insights, and faster interventions, improving outcomes and saving lives worldwide.
